I've worked with seniors for over 25 years. After high school, I worked as a home care worker, helping seniors with their everyday needs. That prompted me to go back to college and take my health care aide course. Upon completing this course, I worked in intermediate care and extended care units at Ridge Meadows hospital in Maple Ridge, B.C. Moving to Calgary has seen me continuing to care for the elderly, both privately in-home or in care facilities.
I'm highly qualified in dealing with end of life care, as I have personally dealt with situations in which I was able to help the client and their family deal with this process in a compassionate and dignified manner.
In 2019, I was awarded "Care Giver of the Year" by a very reputable company. I always say how blessed I am to get paid to do something I love so much. To me, it's more than a job, it's a way of life. My greatest attribute is definitely bringing life, laughter and respect to our seniors.
If you or anyone you know is looking for a health care aide to assist you or a loved one in a facility or in-home, please contact me. I'm able to provide many excellent references upon request.
Thank you!
